Creating a good wardrobe is neither easy nor cheap, it’s important, to fill closet with pieces that are varied and will give the most bang for every buck. The clothes do not just double duty, they should have multiple purpose.

Now that summer is here, it’s time to clean out the closet, re-assess the wardrobe and figure out how to transition some of winter styles through to the spring & summer months.

Here are some of the clothes, which one should have in his or her wardrobe.

1. The Cardigan - Dark grey color is an ideal, it works belted with a collared shirt and trousers, buttoned up with jeans, over tanks, tees and even under a jacket when it gets chilly outside! The layering possibilities are endless. When it’s cold you can very much leave it on all the time & let it peak through underneath your winter coat. In the summer you can wear it to the beach over your bathing suits or out shopping when the air conditioning can sometimes be too much.

2. The tank - What a versatile little piece of clothing. Another staple that you can include in your closet in a variety of colors as well as embellishments. This is a must have in any women’s closet. You can take this piece from day to night with the right accessories and all year round with the right layering. It will never go out of style.

3. The Pencil Skirt - When the pencil skirt is dressed up with a button up and belt, you’ll be the hit of the boardroom. Dressed down with the tank top above and some lovely flip flops and a day with the girls never looked so cute.

4. Leggings - The right pair of leggings can take an outfit from just alright to “out of sight”. They come in about every color, print and pattern you can think of. In the winter when it’s cold you can put them over tights for added warmth or under pants, in the spring they are cute under shorts or skirts.

5. Perfect Pairs - There are some clothes that are season specific – until you pair it with something great and then it becomes season unrestricted.
