International Fashion Designer Anna Sui's participation in fashion started at very early days, with a dedication to dressing her toys and her neighbor toy soldiers for her own special edition of the Academy Awards. Sui ultimately unmitigated her fashion interest to include designing her own garments and excerpt fashion magazine pages to serve as encouragements.To this day, she persists to refer to these intellect files.

After graduating from high school in Detroit, Michigan, Sui made a move to NYC to attend Parsons School of Design where she found an associate and close companion in Steven Meisel, at present one of the globe's best fashion photographers. Her initial days as a stylist for Meisel's shoots incorporated editorial for LEI (the Italian fashion magazine).

In 1980, Sui presented 6 original pieces at the Boutique Show and straight away got an order from Macy's, who attributed one of her designs in the New York Times advertisement. That same year, Anna Sui started her own business that functioned out of her apartment throughout the 1980's.
