Such influences and fortunate connections were not shattered on the young Karan and she was admitted to the esteemed Parson’s School of Design
in year 1968.Donna Karan got a summer job with designer Anne Klein, when she was in Parson’s School of Design.
Her designing was so imposing that, within 2 years, she was promoted to Associate Designer. A further enhance to her career came soon, as she was made chief designer,at the age of 26.She remained at the tiller of New York fashion house till the year 1985, when she made a decision to thump out on her own, and DKNY (Donna Karan New York) was established.
