We can just say that there is a lot to look forward to.

New York Fashion Week is one of the four major fashion weeks in the world. This year's New York Fashion Week had everything from stunning models, runways, designers, and much more. Many designers showcased unique takes on classic items, while others stayed true to what they do best. Despite the fact that we are on the verge of spring, it was a spectacular display of talent that left us longing to plan our fall/winter wardrobes. The designers who showcased their fall/winter collections included Donna Karan, Marc Jacobs, Diane Von Furstenberg, Alexander Wang, Michael Kors and Proenza Schouler.

Donna Karan delivered her strongest collection of the season in New York Fashion Week. Her Valentines Day show was the perfect fall/winter collection. It was Donna Karan's finest collection in several years. It was heavy Mad Men/Grace Kelly-inspired collection which brought streamlined pencil skirts and drapes into highly-coveted items for upcoming fall. Her collection included tight skirts, dresses, draped-suits and pearl necklaces. She also counted on fur to remind that this is a Winter luxuriant collection with fur scarves, fur coat and elbow-length gloves finishing with fur.

While Donna Karan may be the Queen of New York Fashion Week, Diane Von Furstenberg is still the female fashion designer on everyone else's lips. Her collection and show was spectacle, with mirrored poles placed to reflect every camera flash. In her collection, there was a mixture of styles, fabrics and colors.

Yet another designer Michael Kors marked his 30th anniversary with his collection in New York Fashion Week. His collection displayed stunning pieces that incorporated luxurious draping and  impeccable tailoring. Relaxed glamor was the main theme of his collection. It included fox fur coats, slink silk jersey bodysuits, cashmere tunics, flannel suits and stunning crystal embellished dresses.

Without any doubt, New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2011 provided an opportunity to many fashion designers and models to serve the fashion lovers with the latest trends for the upcoming season.
