While dressing up in costumes is always entertaining, it can be even more delightful if you have a partner in crime who can help you create the perfect themed costume. If you are drawing a blank on what you could dress as, you may just want to continue with the "partner in crime" idea theology and consider a Bonnie and Clyde couple costume.
Not only can both costumes be thrown together rather economically, but they also allow plenty of room for banter and fun costumed play between a couple which adds to the fun of dressing up in the first place.
Dressing as Clyde is a simple task to accomplish as you usually can head to a thrift store or perhaps the back of your grandfather's closet to find a double-breasted, pin-striped suit. When searching for the perfect Clyde suit, you will want to keep in mind the image of a suave 20s mobster (think Godfather sophistication meets the Joker's laughable striped suit). Outside of the pinstriped suit you will want to make sure you toss in a white tie, wingtips, and a black hat to really finish off the look. Of course, a plastic gun is also needed to give an authentic Clyde touch to the ensemble.
Bonnie can be a far easier outfit to compose as you can simply head to a costume store or a thrift store for a short flapper dress and some high-heeled shoes. For those who want to take the Bonnie outfit a little farther, you may also decide to purchase a fitted, double-breasted topcoat to match Clyde's ensemble, but pair it with a mini-skirt or short shorts and heels. After all, everyone knows that Bonnie was a hot item outside of all the hot cash she stole beside Clyde! Either way, you will also want to grab some over-the-top feather boas to embellish Bonnie's costume, along with dark, smoldering eye makeup, flush blush, and bright scarlet lipstick.
